- We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Bible. The Scriptures, as originally given, are without error in every part. God guided the human authors so that they recorded His Word, which is His revelation and will for us. The Bible is authoritative and sufficient for all matters of faith and practice.
- We believe that God is Spirit — infinite, eternal, and unchanging. Within the one true God there are three eternal, co-existent, and co-equal Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (the Godhead). Each Person has a distinct role while remaining in perfect unity.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, truly God and truly Man. He was sinless and incapable of sinning.
- We believe that Christ’s death on the cross of Calvary was substitutionary and a sacrifice that satisfied God’s justice. Through the shedding of His blood, He paid the penalty for human sin. His sacrifice is sufficient for all, but it benefits only those who personally believe in Him.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ rose literally and physically from the dead. He was seen by many witnesses over forty days and then ascended in His glorified body to the right hand of God in heaven.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and humanity. He is the Saviour, the Head of the Church, our faithful High Priest, and our Advocate.
- We believe that at the end of the Church age conditions on earth will worsen. The Lord Jesus will return to take His people to be with Himself in heaven (the Rapture). A time of severe judgment (the Tribulation) will follow, culminating in the Battle of Armageddon. Christ will then establish His Millennial Kingdom and reign in righteousness for one thousand years. After a final rebellion, sin and death will be judged, followed by the Great White Throne judgment, the new heavens and new earth, and the eternal state.
- We believe that in the beginning God created the universe out of nothing. In six literal twenty-four-hour days, He created the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them.
- We believe that humanity was created in the image and likeness of God. Through Adam’s free and wilful disobedience in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the world, and death came through sin. All people inherit a sinful nature from Adam. This affects every part of human nature, leaving no one able to make themselves acceptable to a righteous God.
- We believe that salvation cannot be earned or deserved. It is not inherited from parents, granted by the Church, purchased with money, or obtained by good works or religious observance. Salvation is a gift from God, given in love and mercy to those who personally place their faith in Christ and His finished work on the cross. Once received, salvation is eternal and cannot be lost.
- We believe that on the Day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit was poured out on the disciples by the risen Lord, as promised. Through this historical event, believers were baptized into one body—the spiritual body of Christ—and united with Him as Head. A person enters this relationship at conversion.
- We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer fully and permanently from the moment of conversion. Through the Spirit, Christ gives spiritual gifts for service according to His will. The gifts of apostles and prophets were foundational. Certain gifts, such as miracles and tongues, were temporary and related to the early Church period.
- We believe that every person has an eternal existence. After death, each will experience conscious existence—either eternal joy or eternal punishment. All will be raised at the appointed time and reunited with their bodies to dwell either in heaven or in the lake of fire.
- We believe that Satan is a created spirit being. Through pride and rebellion, he and the angels who followed him were cast out of God’s presence. Since then, Satan has opposed God, His Word, and His people. Although powerful, he is not all-powerful, all-knowing, or everywhere present, and he operates only as permitted by God.
- We believe that the Church, in its universal sense, is not an organization but a spiritual body. There is one body—the Church—composed of all believers from Pentecost until the Rapture.
- We believe that God desires Christians to gather locally in recognition of Christ’s headship and authority, meeting simply in His name and not under denominational titles.
- We believe that the local church (Assembly) is a visible expression of the universal Church and should consist only of believers. Those who seek to join must show clear evidence of conversion and sound doctrine. The biblical order is: conversion, baptism, and reception into fellowship.
- We believe that each local Assembly is autonomous and is led by a group of spiritually mature men known as elders or overseers. Scripture also refers to them as bishops, shepherds, pastors, or leaders. These are descriptions of function, not titles, and there should always be more than one in each Assembly.
- We believe that all believers together form a holy priesthood and offer spiritual sacrifices to God. The New Testament does not teach a special clerical hierarchy for this role.
- We believe that every believer has spiritual gifts necessary for the well-being of the Assembly. Opportunities should be provided for the proper use and development of these gifts. Depending solely on one pastor or minister is not consistent with New Testament teaching.
- We believe that those who profess faith in the Lord Jesus Christ should be baptized by immersion. Baptism is not a means of salvation nor does it make someone part of the Church.
- We believe that the Lord’s Supper should be observed on the first day of the week. It is a remembrance of the Lord and a proclamation of His death until He comes. The bread and cup are symbols of His body and blood.
- We believe that men and women are equal in Christ. However, based on creation and the fall, God has given them different roles. In the Church, men are to provide loving leadership, and women are to serve in submission. In gatherings of the Church, men should have their heads uncovered and women covered as a symbol of headship. Women are not to engage in public speaking or prayer in church meetings.
- We believe that members who fall into serious moral or doctrinal error, as described in the New Testament, should be disciplined according to Scripture. Those who genuinely repent should be restored.
- This Assembly acknowledges the distinct dispensational teachings found in Scripture and rejects Covenant Theology, including teachings such as TULIP and extreme Calvinism.
- We reject Replacement Theology. We do not believe that the Church has replaced Israel in God’s future promises.
